Experience

  • Knowledge of construction plumbing standards, schematics, and blueprint reading.

  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and their integration into building infrastructure is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with construction work efficiently.

  • Basic understanding of carpentry, remodeling processes, and handyman skills enhances versatility.

HVAC Technician (Gas Licensed – G2/G3)

Overview

The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining HVAC and gas systems in commercial and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate holds a valid Gas Technician license (G2 or G3) and has experience working on mechanical construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment and gas-fired appliances

  • Perform installation of furnaces, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), gas piping, and ventilation systems

  • Troubleshoot heating and gas system issues

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints

  • Install and test gas lines and gas appliances

  • Ensure all installations comply with Ontario gas code and safety regulations

  • Conduct system inspections and preventative maintenance

  • Coordinate with project managers, plumbers, and sheet metal technicians

  • Complete service reports and documentation

  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including Working at Heights

Qualifications

  • Valid Gas Technician License (G2 or G3) – TSSA

  • Minimum 3–5 years HVAC or mechanical experience

  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems preferred

  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Valid Ontario driver’s license

  • Ability to work independently and on job sites
